SEAPA is a newly formed organization resulting from the divestiture of The Four Dam Pool Power. Assets for SEAPA include the Tyee Lake Plant and the Swan Lake Plant, both of which currently operate isochronously, and the Swan-Tyee Intertie transmission line. Work awarded to L&S Electric includes the turnkey supply of PLC-based governor conversions for both Francis turbines at the Swan Lake Plant as well as the turnkey supply of Basler DECS400 static exciters with power system stabilization for both (6) needle Impulse turbines at the Tyee Lake Plant. Previously, L&S Electric supplied PLC-based governor conversions at the Tyee Lake Plant and successfully implemented isochronous load sharing capabilities between units. Additional work awarded to L&S Electric includes the majority of the new multi-plant SCADA system. This system will facilitate distributed control as well as optimize use of the available water to minimize dependence upon diesel power generation.
